Kevin Dubrow, lead singer for the 1980s heavy metal band Quiet Riot that scored a hit with "Cum on Feel the Noize," was found dead in a Las Vegas home. He was 52. The cause was not immediately known.
A neighbor summoned police and paramedics Sunday to the house where he was pronounced dead, police and coroner's officials said.
There was no forced entry, and no suspicious circumstances were reported, police Officer Jose Montoya said Monday.
Quiet Riot was perhaps best known for its 1983 cover of "Cum on Feel the Noize." The song, featuring Dubrow's powerful, gravelly voice, appeared on the band's album "Metal Health" — which was the first by a metal band to reach No. 1 on the Billboard chart.
DuBrow recorded his first solo album in 2004, "In for the Kill," and the band's last studio CD, "Rehab," came out in October 2006.
"I can't even find words to say," Quiet Riot drummer Frank Banali wrote on his Web site. "Please respect my privacy as I mourn the passing and honor the memory of my dearest friend Kevin DuBrow."
Determination of the cause of death was pending an autopsy and toxicology results, Clark County coroner's spokeswoman Samantha Charles said.

Metallica's "Enter Sandman" Gets A Techno Makeover......

Metallica's 'Enter Sandman' Gets A Techno Makeover
Fusing his innovative styles of techno and trance with Metallica's "Enter Sandman", DJ Paul Edge has unveiled a demo of his "Enter Sandman Edge Rework" at this location, according to Blabbermouth.net.
Despite growing up in the British dance scene, heavy music was never completely foreign to Edge, who attracted many metal fans via heavier mixes and DJs at his Outer Limits U.K. club night. But the idea to rework Metallica didn't come until recently, when his wife was playing the band in their car. "I immediately connected with 'Enter Sandman', he says. "Lars Ulrich's drums follow a relentless 4-4 rhythm, James Hetfield's voice has a dimension that transfers across to the dance floor, and the bass chord structure is pure techno. The second I heard it, I knew I wanted to work with it."
A pioneering force as electronic music blossomed worldwide throughout the 1990s, DJ Paul Edge headlined and promoted one of the United Kingdom's longest-running and most-successful club nights, The Outer Limits, and continues to place an undeniable thumbprint on the trance and techno scenes.
Following the release of his seminal trance track "Metamorphosis Of Narcotics" in 1996, Edge headlined the North American Nintendo Cube Tour in 2001, and in 2002 became one of the first DJs to introduce the "electro-clash" style to American audiences on his Remote Control Tour (with Keoki in support). He soared to even higher notoriety with the release of the jarring "We Will Not Be Silenced" in 2004, and its "We Will Not Be Silenced II" follow-up in 2006, two of the most-viewed viral videos in internet history.

Epiphone Les Paul Standard Review......
More Reviews Here:~Ultimate-Guitar.com~
Pickups: 2 Humbuckers
Hardware: Chrome
Neck Joint: Set
Neck Material: Mahogany
Fingerboard: Rosewood/Trapezoid
Binding: Body/Neck
Body Material: Mahogany/Alder
Top: Flame Maple
Features: I just purchased this guitar, and wow, it is impressive. For almost 3 times less than a Gibson Les Paul, you get basically all the same features. 22 frets, mahogany neck, mahogany/alder body, tune-o-matic bridge, single cutaway, and 2 great sounding humbuckers. // 10
Sound: This guitar fits my musical tastes perfect. I mostly play classic rock, but it suits punk, blues, and metal perfect as well. I use a Marshall MG30DFX, and it sounds great, with no 'buzzing'. If your looking for a full rich sound, this is the best guitar you can buy. // 10
Action, Fit & Finish: The finish is brilliant. The pickups were adjusted perfect, and I especially like the Tune-O-Matic bridge. The tuning pegs are great, and hold tune very very well, and they look very nice also. The only problem I have had was the top strap button came off, and it looked like the hole was drilled to big for the screw, but that was covered by warranty. Highly recommended. // 8
Reliability & Durability: This guitar is a beast! It is so bulky and feels like it can survive anything you can dish at it. Very very solid, I would definetely gig with this guitar. The finish is very very solid as well, and looks like it will last me a long long time. // 10
Impression: For the money, you cant beat it. If it were lost/stolen, I would definetely buy another, or a Gibson, but I love the Les Paul model so much. I only wish it had a tremolo bar! But an excellent overall guitar. // 10

Sevendust's latest album "Alpha"......
~Sevendust's Official Site~
Alpha, the new album from Sevendust due out March 6, 2007, marks the bands sixth studio album and a return to its origins for the band members and their legions of followers. Sevendust found themselves right where it all started in their hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Crammed into the same rehearsal-writing room at RTM which spawned their ground breaking 1997 self titled debut containing classics like “Black,” and “Bitch.” There in the humble beginnings and stomping grounds where it all began, they brewed up twelve woven tracks blending in a new innovative crunch with that infamous, ferocious throat. Gone are the acoustic guitars and overt electronic inflection of the last couple records and reenter the raw honest complexity of the Home years. Recorded at Tree Sound Studios with long time friend and co-producer/engineer Shawn Grove, Alpha was born.
Indeed conceptual in nature, Sevendust explores the recesses of the mind and the torturous conflict within the question, Can I possibly continue, or…? Deep are the extremely personal revelations inscribed upon a raw and uncompromising landscape that is, Alpha. From the blood-curdling vocal introduction of the first track “Deathstar,” the listener knows it’s old school Sevendust on a collision course with a fresh burning ingredient to obliterate, even if the victim may come from within.
Morgan Rose’s insight into Alpha: “There’s a fine line in life between self pity and being happy with what you have. I have been forced to reveal the torture I/We have faced in the last twenty months. I no longer look at the glass as half full but as half empty. I am thankful I have this opportunity to unload through the concept of this record, for I am not sure where I would be without it. In less than two years we have lost a guitar player, experienced extreme label drama, I lost my grandfather, watched my dad go to prison and suffered through a divorce. I don’t expect everyone to understand me, the why, or how, but what I do know, is almost everyone has a limit and must deal with too much on their plate. Ultimately they run the risk of hurting internally.”
Sevendust attack their issues head on with Alpha, exposing themselves to the masses for the world to see and judge. A quote from “Clueless” describes their agonizing ride without reward; “The trains arrive’n with the goodies I’m entitled to. All this time I never got what I deserved… Why Me?” Tracks like “Story of Your Life” deal with mental conflict within, rejection and a temporary release. On “Driven,” Sevendust sing “I’m driven to keep myself alive” this lyric takes on special meaning in the context of the track “Confessions of Hatred” while they contemplate action as a release to the inevitable query in question. “Under,” the least aggressive song of the twelve is powerful both musically and lyrically. It’s the one piece of poetry, the one moment in the story that neither deals with the torment within the mind, nor the aggravated decision to take action. The pace quickens to the soon to be Sevendust classic, “Beg to Differ” only to lead to the manic depressive state depicted in the entanglement of a pure emotion found in tracks, “Aggression” and “Burn.” The album closes with unadulterated brutality and chaotic exit of its twelfth and final composition, “Alpha.”
Responsible in part for the reemergence of the “heavy” movement in the mid to late nineties, while amassing in their own right over four million records sold, Sevendust has gone back to the source, its origins but perfected it now on their ten year anniversary. Raising the bar of ferocity, redefines the term power, while delving into the frantic mind, and places on display for the world to see their palate of songmanship bred of wonton aggression with a dash of soaring lyric all within an offering that bleeds pure… Sevendust.
Sevendust and their wholly owned record label, 7Bros. Records, announced on December 6, 2006, a partnership with Asylum Records, part of Warner Music Group and Warner-Electra-Atlantic (WEA) distribution.
The Alpha packaging contains a keepsake DVD content containing both live and studio footage, discussions of the conceptual nature of the album, the changes in their material direction, as well as the recording process itself and the co-producer team of Shawn Grove, John Connolly and Morgan Rose; the new partner Warner Music Group, and the resilience needed to endure, and the will to destroy everything...
